Heidi Gardner, Ph.D.
Heidi is a Clinical Trials Methodologist and Health Services Researcher at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, the United Kingdom. She recently gained her Ph.D. in Applied Health Sciences, and much of her work is focused on improving the efficiency of clinical trials. Before Ph.D. life Heidi completed an undergraduate masters degree at the University of Aberdeen where her research and studies took a more lab-based scientific approach. This is where she first learned about CRISPR technology, and she’s had a keen interest ever since. In particular, she’s excited to see how CRISPR technology develops in the future, and how it can ultimately be applied to improve human health. Heidi rarely engages in conversation until she's had at least 2 cups of tea in the morning.
